The Messiah Men brought their game on Monday night as they faced Dickinson. Right from the start, the Falcon’s jumped out into the lead and never looked back. With many mistakes by Dickinson, Messiah was able to play fundamental volleyball and they won the first match 25-4. Coach Porr decided that he wanted to try something new and put in a whole new rotation, excluding the setter, Mitch Long. After a few point deficit, the Falcons kicked it in and won the match 25-10. The third game brought even more changes, including the setting debut of Jeff Hackman. Despite his lack of experience, Messiah still stomped Dickinson, 25-13.

SUNK the Ship in 3
After a scrappy night of volleyball, the Falcons came out on top of Shippensburg. In the first game, Messiah dug themselves a nice hole they would spend the entire game trying to get out of. Finally, around the 20th point, the Falcons took the lead and were able to pull off a win 25-23. In the second game, the men played better but allowed Shippensburg to stay in the game. The Falcons finally pulled it together and won the 2nd game. As expected, the third game went pretty much the same was as the first two. Messiah snatched the win and that’s what counts in the end. This improves the Falcon’s record to 3-0 overall, 2-0 in the division.
